Yes, I agree with another reviewer here that the consistency of this product is a bit grainy, but I'm not sure what to think about another comment remarking that this product has "a chemical aftertaste...a bit chemical tasting". No, I don't think so. I mean, all ingredients are technically chemicals, so I'm guessing they're referring to artificial chemicals, and the supplement facts and ingredients look clean to me. I even looked up the two ingredients I hadn't come across before, "dulse powder" and "sacha inchi protein", and I'm seeing that these are respectively sourced from red seaweed and a South American plant sometimes known as mountain peanut. I've tried quite a few protein powders over the past year in an attempt to find another alternative to meat consumption, and this Peregrune protein powder is one of my favorites because it mixes extremely well without a shaker bottle, tastes pretty good, and uses a natural sweetener. I mentioned in my reviews of a couple Ritual products that those were "the best mixing protein powders I've ever tried", but I ended up rating those four stars due to the need to visit the Ritual website to view supplement facts and other ingredients. The only protein powder I currently prefer over Peregrune with respect to taste is Jacked Factory chocolate protein powder, which I've raved as being "chocolaty, satisfying, and economical". All of this said, I admit that I was especially interested in trying Peregrune because of company claims of its being "engineered for running...made to improve the performance of runners", but interestingly, only a single reviewer here even mentions running, and not with respect to themselves. While as a lifelong runner who runs every morning I appreciate the "typical amino acid profile" provided with each serving of this product, I cannot say that this aspect has uniquely benefited me in any way.
